Organic honey is rich in essential vitamins and minerals and is obtained according to organic beekeeping protocols: far from transgenic crops and intensive agriculture. The hives are constructed from natural materials such as wood, and polyurethane or fiberglass plastics are not allowed. Pollen is considered a superfood thanks to the high concentration of nutrients it contains. It provides a lot of protein (with a high content of essential amino acids), carbohydrates, fatty acids, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, phytosterols, flavonoids and antioxidants. It is formed when bees collect pollen with the hairs on their body, then comb the hairs with their legs and store the pollen on their legs behind, forming small balls that they transport to the hive.
