  • With Beekeepers for a Day , you will have the opportunity to explore the universe of bees in depth, discovering their secrets and actively participating in the daily tasks of a beekeeper, a practical and enriching experience that will allow you to better understand the importance of this activity.
  • For honey lovers, we invite you to our Honey Tasting visit where you will enjoy a unique sensory experience, discovering the different varieties and particularities of our delicious honeys, from the sweetest and floral to the most intense and with salty and bitter notes, you will embark on a journey of flavors that will awaken all your senses.

Beekeepers for a day

We would like to share with you our exciting day-to-day life as beekeepers , and that is why we invite you to participate in our visits to the apiaries located in the Albera Natural Park.

During this unique experience, you will have the opportunity to see up close how we work with our bees in this extraordinary natural environment. We will explain all the details of the beekeeping process, from honey collection to the careful maintenance of the hives.

How is the experience?

  • The whole group meets at Abellaires Empordanesos to dress up as beekeepers.
  • We go to the apiary with private cars (5 minutes).
  • Small explanation of the environment and honey flora.
  • We open the hive and see the different tasks of each bee.
  • We observe how the entire bee population works in the hive and combine everyone’s participation with the use of the smoker (essential for the beekeeper’s work) and the hive.
  • Time for questions and doubts.
  • Short visit to the workshop and a sweet experience that includes a taste of three honeys from our farm.
  • We finish the visit in our store where you will find a wide variety of honeys and products derived from the beehive.
