Beekeepers for a day

We would like to share our daily life as beekeepers with you, and for this reason, we invite you to join us on our visits to the apiaries located in the Natural Park of l’Albera, at the easternmost tip of the Pyrenees.

Precautions:

  • Activity NOT suitable for people with reduced mobility or children under 5 years of age.
  • Not recommended for people allergic to bees.
  • The visit includes the beekeeper’s outfit that will be returned at the end of the activity, each person must wear their own footwear; we recommend a type of boot that covers the ankle.

Important information for the summer:

  • During the months of July and August, this activity will not take place on scheduled dates, but you have the option to make a reservation as a group on the day you wish. Due to the summer temperatures, the meeting time will be at 8:30am at our facilities in Garriguella.

Cancellations:

  • Cancellation of the reservation communicated before 48 hours of the visit will entail a penalty of 10% of the total amount.
  • Cancellation of the reservation during the 48 hours prior to the day of the visit will result in the loss of the total amount of the reservation (you have the option of transferring the reservation to third parties, as long as you notify us in advance).
  • This activity may be subject to changes or cancellations depending on the weather forecast. In case of cancellation, new dates will be proposed.

Things to consider before your visit:

Conditions

  • The reservation is valid only for the reserved day and time.
  • We ask you to arrive 5 or 10 minutes before departure time.

What should you bring?

  • SUITABLE FOOTWEAR : We recommend mid- or high-heeled boots.
  • No perfumes or aerosols: It is better not to use them before the visit.
  • If you have long hair, we recommend wearing a rubber band or similar to keep your hair tied up and not bother you once you put on the beekeeper mask.

What does the price of the experience include?

  • Visit to the beehives in the countryside (we provide you with the beekeeping equipment)
  • Tasting of the most representative honeys from our farm

What is NOT included in the price?

  • Transfer from our beekeeping center to the apiary (you must come with your own vehicle)
  • Own footwear
